Copper Bonded Grounding Rod

Earthway Technologies LLP copper bonded grounding (earth rod) rod are made form high tensile low carban steel material. grounding rod are made by molucularly bonding 99.99% pure electrolytic copper. Grounding rods are roll threaded to get higher strength and maintain copper coating at the threaded area. The standard copper coating thickness is 254 microns.Custom copper coating thickness is also available starting from min 20 microns to max.254 micron.

Here is Some Information About Copper Earthing Rods:
1. Purpose:
The primary purpose of copper earthing rods is to provide a low-resistance path for the dissipation of electrical currents into the ground. This ensures safety by preventing the buildup of voltage that could lead to electrical shocks or damage to equipment.

2. Material:
Copper is a commonly used material for earthing rods due to its excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance. Copper ensures a durable and efficient grounding system.

3. Construction:
Copper earthing rods are typically solid cylindrical rods that vary in length and diameter based on specific applications and requirements. They may have a pointed or rounded tip for easy insertion into the ground.

4. Installation:
Proper installation is crucial for the effectiveness of the grounding system. The copper rod is usually buried vertically in the ground, and the depth can vary depending on factors like soil resistivity.

5. Soil Conditions:
Soil resistivity is a critical factor in determining the effectiveness of an earthing system. Lower resistivity allows for better dissipation of electrical currents. Copper rods are suitable for various soil types, and they resist corrosion even in more aggressive soil environments.

6. Corrosion Resistance:
Copper is highly resistant to corrosion, which is essential for the longevity of the earthing system. This resistance ensures that the rod maintains a low-resistance connection with the ground over an extended period.

7. Connections:
Copper earthing rods are connected to the electrical system through conductors, typically made of copper or aluminium. Proper connections are critical to ensure low impedance and effective dissipation of fault currents.

8. Compliance:
Copper earthing rods must comply with relevant electrical codes and standards, such as those set by the National Electrical Code (NEC) in the United States or the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards internationally.

9. Maintenance:
Periodic inspections and maintenance are recommended to ensure the continued effectiveness of the grounding system. This may involve checking connections, inspecting the rod for signs of corrosion, and ensuring that the grounding system meets current safety standards.

10. Applications:
Copper earthing rods are used in various applications, including residential, commercial rlrctrical subsatations and industrial settings. They are essential for grounding electrical systems, preventing equipment damage, and ensuring the safety of individuals in the vicinity.
